Senior Game Producer Role

We are looking for help in delivering our debut game

Space Rock Games is a fully-remote game development studio based in New Zealand. We are committed to ethical development practices with zero tolerance toward harassment and abuse while also having a no-crunch policy. 

 

Our first game, Criminals Within, is a 3rd person cooperative-only action game set in a medieval fantasy kingdom and is currently in development. 

 

We are looking for an experienced Game Producer to join us in the development of our debut game - Criminals Within.

Job type 

Full-time contract role with flexible hours, remote only. ​

What you would be doing​

  • Oversee the development of the game from concept to launch, including managing the budget, schedule, and quality standards.

  • Coordinate the work of the development team, including programmers, artists, designers, and QA testers.

  • Work closely with the leads to ensure that the game meets the design, technical and artistic goals.

  • Identify and mitigate risks, and make sure the game stays on schedule and within budget.

  • Communicate with stakeholders, such as the development team, publisher and external partners. 

  • Help make important decisions related to the game's design, features, and marketing.

What you must have

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a game producer

  • Shipped at least 1 commercial title

  • Strong knowledge of game development processes and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Strong understanding of the video game industry, including current trends and technologies.

  • Passion for video games and a desire to create the best possible gaming experience.

  • A desire to learn and further improve your skills 

  • A proactive and self-reliant personality

  • Availability between 11 am and 3 pm on weekdays (New Zealand time)

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written

What is advantageous to have

  • Experience with AGILE methodologies.

  • Experience with multiplayer games

  • Experience working with publishers

  • Console development experience

  • Experience with Codecks
